Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to be choosy if you are shopping for the right example.

• Deal availability: 26.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 317 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.87% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,575 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $20,618 CAD sits slightly below last year's $24,507 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you are thinking about future value, the softer pricing means your best protection is buying well and avoiding overpaying today. Strong demand for well-kept examples should still support the model’s appeal over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.73/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 26.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.73/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a strong choice if you want the Grand Cherokee’s mix of capability, comfort, and upscale feel, especially now that pricing has eased. If you are more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest badge.
