How much does the 2018 Jeep Cherokee cost?

Is the 2018 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Jeep Cherokee earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its features, spaciousness, smooth ride, and 4X4 capability, while also describing it as a good value. For you, that makes it a sensible pick if you want a compact SUV with useful everyday comfort and some Jeep character. With 27.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still a meaningful share of attractive pricing in the market.

Is the 2018 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with repeated praise for the Cherokee’s comfort, features, and value. That kind of response suggests many buyers have found it trouble-free enough to recommend, especially when they want a vehicle they can count on for daily use and all-weather driving. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained properly, since condition will matter a lot more than the badge alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 409 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.79% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,625 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $16,168 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,540 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about expectations. If you buy now, you may benefit from the softer pricing, though resale gains are less likely if the market stays at this level. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.79% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is the better fit if you want a used Cherokee with strong owner approval, softer pricing, and a decent pool of listings to compare. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also look at nearby years, but the 2018 stands out as a balanced choice when you want value, features, and broad market availability in one package.
