Is the 2018 Honda Pilot a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Honda Pilot earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its great value, spaciousness, and driving comfort, and many also like the rear entertainment system and roomy interior. That fits especially well if you want a practical three-row SUV for family use, since the Pilot is built around space, comfort, and everyday versatility. Is the 2018 Honda Pilot reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback describes it as reliable and trouble-free overall, with many owners feeling confident in its long-term usefulness. For used buyers, that means the Pilot can be a sensible long-term ownership choice, but a thorough pre-purchase check remains important.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda Pilot?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 177 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.65% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,181 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $23,181 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,160 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Pilot has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer market than before. If you buy at today’s average, your resale position will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. Well-kept examples should still hold appeal because the Pilot’s family-friendly packaging remains a strong draw.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Pilot is a strong choice if you want a roomy, comfortable three-row SUV and you value a lower used price than some nearby years. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare it with adjacent model years to see whether a similar feature set is available at a better asking price.
