Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Pilot?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 253 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.20% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $37,073 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $37,073 CAD sits slightly below last year's $42,224 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Pilot has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer market than they would have a year ago. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside risk later because much of the recent depreciation has already happened. Strong demand for roomy family SUVs can still help support values, especially for well-kept examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $31,949 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $37,073 CAD average.
• It prioritises comfort, utility, and everyday usefulness over flashy styling.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $47,640 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $37,073 CAD average.
• It brings a full redesign with more rugged styling and more thoughtful convenience items.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and family-friendly practicality, the 2022 is the primary path to consider. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the value play, while the 2023 makes sense if you want the newer redesign and can stretch your budget.
