Used 2017 Hyundai Sonata for Sale near Saskatchewan

How much does the 2017 Hyundai Sonata cost?

There are 133 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2017 Hyundai Sonata a good car?

Generally — the 2017 Hyundai Sonata earns 4.36/5, which points to solid owner satisfaction for a midsize sedan in this price range. Drivers commonly praise its dependability, affordability, and smooth driving experience, and many also like the good gas mileage and overall value for the price. In practical terms, that makes it a sensible fit if you want a comfortable, tech-forward daily driver with a strong feature set for the money. With 27.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Hyundai Sonata reliable?

Owners rate it 4.36/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights its dependability and describes it as a car many owners can count on, especially when it has been maintained properly. That said, some drivers mention concerns about engine reliability in higher-mileage vehicles, so you should pay close attention to service records and any signs of long-term wear before you commit. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is that a well-priced example can still carry expensive repair exposure if it has been neglected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Hyundai Sonata?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 133 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.86% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,267 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Hyundai Sonata's resale value?

The current average of $11,276 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,373 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you own one, resale value will likely depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history rather than on broad market momentum alone. A clean, well-documented example should still attract interest from value-focused shoppers looking for a comfortable, well-equipped sedan.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.36/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Hyundai Sonata or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.36/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 Sonata makes the most sense if you want a comfortable, well-equipped midsize sedan at a softened price point and you’re willing to shop carefully for a clean example. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years to see whether a similar car offers a better deal or a stronger feature mix for your budget.
