How much does the 2024 Hyundai Sonata cost?

There are 147 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of choice in the used market.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Sonata a good car?

The 2024 Hyundai Sonata stands out as a midsize sedan that blends distinctive styling with a long list of standard equipment. For 2024, Hyundai gave it a major refresh with new front and rear styling, and inside the dashboard was completely redesigned to integrate a pair of 12.3-inch screens, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, and a different style of gear selector.

It also comes with an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, USB ports, heated front seats, and a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel, while safety tech such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, rear seat reminders, driver-attention warnings, and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection is included.

For you, that means the Sonata makes the most sense if you want a roomy, well-equipped, relaxed midsize sedan rather than something sporty. 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which adds some market appeal.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Sonata reliable?

The 2024 Hyundai Sonata is described as a well-equipped, comfortable, and efficient midsize sedan with a relaxed driving character. It also offers above-average interior and trunk space, though less than the Honda Accord, and it is positioned as a cruiser rather than a sporty sedan.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that you should expect a comfort-first sedan, not one that trades on performance or excitement.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Hyundai Sonata?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without waiting forever for the right car.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 147 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.66% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $28,628 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Hyundai Sonata's resale value?

The current average of $28,628 CAD sits slightly below last year's $33,548 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Sonata has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face more competition when they go to list one. If you buy at the current average, your resale position will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car is equipped. For a future seller, the current market points to a model that is still desirable, but not one that is holding value as strongly as it did a year ago.

Should I buy a 2024 Hyundai Sonata or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.66% compared with last year.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $31,945 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $28,628 CAD average.
• It adds improved safety ratings and rear-seat air vents.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2024 is the stronger buy because it combines a lower average price with a healthy share of good deals. If you are willing to spend more for a newer model with added safety and comfort updates, the 2025 is the better secondary path.
