Used 2017 Chevrolet Equinox for Sale nearEdmonton, AB

How much does the 2017 Chevrolet Equinox cost?

Prices have softened 20.19% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 245 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 Chevrolet Equinox a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise the spacious interior, smooth ride, and good value for the price, while the comfortable cabin and everyday practicality make it a sensible fit if you want a roomy compact SUV for daily use. The market also shows 23.3% of listings as good or great deals, which adds to its appeal if you are shopping carefully.

Is the 2017 Chevrolet Equinox reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to dependability, with drivers describing it as a vehicle they can count on for comfortable everyday use. That said, this model year sits in a generation known for serious engine problems, so long-term ownership risk depends heavily on maintenance history and the condition of the specific used example you are considering.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Chevrolet Equinox?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can afford to be choosy and focus on condition as much as price.

• Deal availability: 23.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 245 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.19% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,397 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $11,397 CAD sits slightly below last year's $14,281 CAD.

That kind of decline suggests future sellers may face more price pressure if the market stays soft. If you buy now, resale value will likely depend on how well the vehicle has been maintained and how clean its history is. A well-kept example should still attract interest because the Equinox remains appealing to shoppers who want space and comfort at a lower entry price.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 23.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 Chevrolet Equinox makes sense if you want a roomy, comfortable, value-focused compact SUV and you can verify that the specific vehicle has been well maintained. If you are especially price-sensitive, this year can be a smart buy, but you should be selective and prioritise condition and service records over the lowest sticker price.
