What should I look for when buying a used Ford Edge?

Key things to evaluate:

• Fuel efficiency: The most fuel-efficient version of the Edge is the 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with front-wheel drive (FWD). It returns Natural Resources Canada-estimated fuel consumption of 11.2 litres per 100 kilometres in the city, 8.1 on the highway, and 9.8 combined. This engine paired with AWD returns 11.4 L/100 km city, 8.3 highway, and 10.0 combined. The Edge ST returns 12.5 L/100 km city, 9.2 hwy, and 11.0 combined with its V6 engine.

Which Ford Edge trim should I buy?

The 2020 Ford Edge offers these trims:

• SEL: The SEL adds LED fog lights, synthetic leather upholstery, a power-adjustable front seat, a nine-speaker premium audio system, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. This is the best-value trim if you want a well-rounded mix of comfort and convenience.
• Titanium: The Titanium adds 19-inch nickel-plated aluminium wheels, unique headlight design, genuine leather upholstery, a 10-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, driver’s seat memory presets, a wall-style power outlet, heated rear seats, and ventilated front seats.

What Ford Edge do most buyers choose?

The Ford Edge years with the most listings are 2023, 2021, and 2022.

Higher-volume years tend to draw more shoppers because they usually offer a broader mix of prices, trims, and deal opportunities. That makes them easier to compare and more likely to fit a wide range of budgets.

What is the Ford Edge's resale value?

The table shows broad double-digit price declines across the lineup, which can work in your favour if you want a used Edge at a lower entry price. The newer model years also show meaningful drops, so recent examples may offer stronger value than their original pricing suggests.

The 2021, 2014, and 2022 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
