Used 2017 Chevrolet Equinox for SaleNationwide

How much does the 2017 Chevrolet Equinox cost?

Prices have softened 17.23% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 249 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 Chevrolet Equinox a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Chevrolet Equinox earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners most often praise the spacious interior, smooth ride, and good value for the price, and the comfort features also come through clearly in feedback. That lines up well with its role as a practical compact SUV for you if you want room for passengers and cargo without moving into a larger vehicle. With 23.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Chevrolet Equinox reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to dependability, which is encouraging if you want a used SUV you can count on for everyday driving. At the same time, the model’s reputation means you should still be selective and verify maintenance history before you buy. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a well-kept example matters a lot more here than average.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Chevrolet Equinox?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you focus on condition and pricing.

• Deal availability: 23.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 249 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.23% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,489 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $11,489 CAD sits slightly below last year's $13,881 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned than someone who pays near the top of the range. The Equinox’s broad appeal as a roomy, comfortable compact SUV should help support demand, but resale will still depend heavily on maintenance and overall condition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 23.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 Chevrolet Equinox makes sense if you want a roomy, comfortable compact SUV and you find a well-priced example with a solid history. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby year may also be worth comparing, but the 2017 is the better fit when you want a balance of value, comfort, and current market softness.
