Used 2017 Chevrolet Equinox for Sale near Alberta

How much does the 2017 Chevrolet Equinox cost?

Prices have softened 18.71% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 247 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 Chevrolet Equinox a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Chevrolet Equinox earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise its spacious interior, smooth ride, and good value for the price, and they also highlight the comfort and dependability that make it appealing as a practical daily driver. For you, that means it fits well if you want a roomy, value-oriented compact SUV with a comfortable ride and useful everyday space. With 23.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Chevrolet Equinox reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to dependability, with drivers describing it as a vehicle they can count on for everyday use. That said, the broader model line is known for serious engine problems, so reliability for a used buyer depends heavily on maintenance history and how well the vehicle has been cared for over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Chevrolet Equinox?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 23.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 247 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.71% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,442 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $11,551 CAD sits slightly below last year's $14,208 CAD.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Equinox easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you own one, the current pricing trend means resale value is being held back by softer demand and a wider supply of used examples. A well-kept vehicle with documented maintenance should still stand out more than a neglected one in this price band.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 23.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.71% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 Chevrolet Equinox makes sense if you want a roomy, comfortable, value-focused compact SUV and you can verify strong maintenance history. If you are especially price-sensitive, the softer market and decent deal availability make this year worth considering, but you should still compare carefully against nearby model years and prioritise condition over the lowest sticker price.
