Used 2016 Nissan Sentra for Sale nearAjax, ON

How much does the 2016 Nissan Sentra cost?

Prices have softened 11.52% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 119 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 Nissan Sentra a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2016 Nissan Sentra. The overview points to a compact sedan that prioritises a more spacious interior, improved fuel efficiency, and a refreshed look, which makes it a practical fit if you want an affordable everyday car with a straightforward mission. Its value-focused character is a major part of the appeal, especially if you care more about usability than performance. With 29.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some market flexibility for you to shop carefully.

Is the 2016 Nissan Sentra reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview also makes clear that this generation is considered the least reliable because of CVT issues, so you should pay close attention to how the transmission behaves on a test drive. For a used buyer, that means the car can still make sense, but only if you are selective about condition and maintenance history.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Nissan Sentra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 119 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.52% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $8,688 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Nissan Sentra's resale value?

The current average of $8,688 CAD sits slightly below last year's $9,820 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, that means condition, mileage, and service records will matter even more when you go to list it. A well-kept example should still appeal to shoppers looking for a roomy, efficient compact sedan with a value-first focus.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Nissan Sentra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.52% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Sentra makes the most sense if you want a roomy, efficient compact sedan with a refreshed appearance and you are comfortable shopping carefully for the right example. If you are price-sensitive, the softer market and decent deal availability make this a sensible year to target, but you should still prioritise condition and transmission behaviour over simply chasing the lowest sticker price.
