Is the 2019 Nissan Sentra a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Nissan Sentra earns a 4.57/5 user rating, which points to solid owner satisfaction. That fits well if you want a practical compact sedan that works as an easygoing daily driver rather than something built around excitement. Is the 2019 Nissan Sentra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.57/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers, especially when it comes to value and everyday usability. The same feedback highlights comfort and fuel economy as strengths, which usually matters most if you plan to keep the car for the long term. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is that you should be selective about condition and maintenance history before committing.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Nissan Sentra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 149 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.98% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,913 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Nissan Sentra's resale value?

The current average of $11,913 CAD sits slightly below last year's $14,704 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at the current average, your future resale value will depend heavily on mileage, condition, and how well the car has been maintained. Because the model is positioned as a value-focused compact sedan, buyers in the used market will likely continue to compare it closely on price.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.57/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Nissan Sentra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.98% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.57/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 Sentra makes the most sense if you want a straightforward compact sedan with strong value appeal and you can find one priced near the lower end of the market. If you’re especially price-sensitive, this year is worth a close look; if you want a newer-feeling alternative, you may want to compare it with nearby model years before deciding.
