What is the 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $23,874 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,055 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face more competition when it is time to list. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned to limit depreciation pressure later. Demand should remain supported by the model’s broad appeal, especially among shoppers who want capability and a more upscale cabin.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.39/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.76% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.39/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $25,718 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $23,874 CAD average.
• It carries a familiar formula rather than a major redesign.

The bottom line: Buy the 2019 if you want the better value and are comfortable shopping carefully within a broad used market. If you are willing to pay more for the next model year’s newer pricing context, the 2020 is the secondary path, but price-sensitive buyers will likely find the 2019 the smarter starting point.
