How much does the 2023 Jeep Cherokee cost?

Is the 2023 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Jeep Cherokee earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which supports its appeal as a compact SUV with Jeep character and everyday usability. The overview points to a simpler final-year lineup, distinctive styling, and available capability, including all-weather traction and Trailhawk-focused hardware for buyers who want more rugged potential. It also highlights useful cabin tech, with smartphone integration and a standard 8.4-inch touchscreen on all trims for 2022 and later. With 32.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful number of value-oriented options to consider.

Is the 2023 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview also notes that this generation had a reputation for transmission issues in earlier years, along with poor efficiency and some bad engines through the years. For used buyers, that means reliability can depend heavily on how well a specific vehicle was maintained and whether it has a clean service history.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you’re comparing listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 185 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.14% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $30,988 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $30,988 CAD sits slightly below last year's $36,951 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Cherokee has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilises. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned to limit further value loss. Demand should also be helped by the model’s distinctive styling and available capability.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.14% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2023 Cherokee makes the most sense if you want the simplest version of this generation, with a strong mix of Jeep identity, usable tech, and available capability. If your priority is stretching your budget, a nearby year may offer a lower entry price, but the 2023 is the cleaner choice if you want the final-year package and can find a well-priced example.
