Used 2025 Kia Sorento for Sale near New Brunswick

How much does the 2025 Kia Sorento cost?

Prices have softened 14.10% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 215 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2025 Kia Sorento a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 5/5 model with an expert rating of 8.3/10. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Cost effectiveness.

The 2025 Kia Sorento is positioned as a right-sized SUV for you if you want occasional third-row seating without moving up to a much larger vehicle. It stands out for its powerful engine, impressive technology, and great warranty, while still aiming to stay manageable for everyday family use.

The main trade-offs are that the interior materials feel cheap and the third row is cramped. It also has not much cargo space, so you should weigh that against the Sorento’s strong equipment and family-friendly versatility.

39.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Kia Sorento reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Sorento is described as a practical, easy-to-live-with SUV that balances daily usability with a more upscale feature set. Its turbo-gas version is presented as largely unchanged after a substantial refresh, which can be reassuring if you want a proven setup rather than a first-year redesign.

Its turbocharged powertrain is described as far more satisfying than the base engine, and the vehicle is portrayed as rewarding in everyday driving. Kia Connect is complimentary for three years, which adds some ownership convenience if you use the connected features.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the cramped third row and limited cargo space may feel more restrictive as your needs grow.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Kia Sorento?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The gas-only lineup includes LX, EX, X-Line, X-Line Limited, and X-Pro trim levels. The LX uses the less powerful 2.5-litre four-cylinder, while the other trims get the turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder. The X-Line and X-Pro also add black badges, and the X-Pro brings a more rugged appearance with unique wheels, roof rails, and bumper covers.
• Powertrain: The LX has a 191-horsepower 2.5-litre four-cylinder and an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the other trims use a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder with 281 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. The turbo engine is the stronger choice if you want better acceleration.
• Safety package: Highway Driving Assist is standard on X-Line, and X-Line Limited and X-Pro add Highway Driving Assist 2 with lane-changing functionality. The X-Line Limited and X-Pro also add numerous active collision avoidance features, a camera-based Blind-Spot View Monitor, and the surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: Every 2025 Sorento has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The standard setup uses a 24-inch panoramic display, while X-Line Limited and X-Pro trims pair it with a larger 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Kia Connect adds voice recognition, 911 Connect, remote access, and safe driver settings.
• Fuel efficiency: The base engine is estimated at 9.4 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving. The turbocharged engine is rated at 10.3 L/100 km combined, and the X-Pro averaged 10.0 L/100 km during evaluation.

Which 2025 Kia Sorento trim should I buy?

The 2025 Kia Sorento is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, EX, X-Line, X-Line Limited, and X-Pro.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value play if you want the Sorento’s size and third-row flexibility at the lowest entry point, but you give up the stronger turbocharged engine.
• EX: This is the trim to focus on if you want a better balance of equipment and value without jumping to the more expensive X-Line models.
• X-Line: This is the best-value trim if you want the turbo engine plus standard Highway Driving Assist and a more upscale, rugged look.
• X-Line Limited: Choose this if you want the richer tech presentation, including the larger digital instrument panel and more advanced safety and convenience equipment.
• X-Pro: Pick this if you want the most rugged-looking Sorento with the most capability-focused hardware, including all-terrain tires, enhanced roof rails, and the strongest towing rating mentioned.

The X-Line Limited and X-Pro bring the most advanced safety package, including the surround-view camera system and Blind-Spot View Monitor.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Kia Sorento?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 39.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 215 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.10% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $40,807 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Kia Sorento's resale value?

The current average of $40,807 CAD sits slightly below last year's $47,504 CAD.

That price decline suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, which can make it harder for sellers to command top dollar right now. If you own one and plan to sell later, the current softness means your timing matters more than it would in a rising market.

The Sorento’s strong equipment, broad appeal, and family-friendly positioning should still help support demand. If the model continues to hold its reputation for value and versatility, that can help cushion resale performance over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Kia Sorento safe?

The 2025 Sorento earns five-star overall ratings from NHTSA, with four-star ratings in frontal impact and rollover resistance evaluations. It also earns a Top Safety Pick rating from the IIHS, though that accolade is valid only for the 2024 calendar year.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Kia installs plenty of standard safety features in the 2025 Sorento, and higher trims add more sophisticated technology. Highway Driving Assist is a semi-autonomous, hands-on driver-assistance feature that pairs adaptive cruise control with lane-centring assist, and X-Line Limited and X-Pro add lane-changing functionality to create Highway Driving Assist 2.

The X-Line Limited and X-Pro also add numerous active collision avoidance features, a camera-based Blind-Spot View Monitor, and the surround-view camera system. A key caveat is that the IIHS recognition may not carry forward in 2025 because of rule changes and a new test result.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.10% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 adds a new grey paint colour and some models get standard black exterior badges.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $37,647 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $40,807 CAD average.
• It is a value-focused family SUV with a standard third row and broad appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the latest-year version with the current market pricing and cosmetic updates, the 2025 is the cleaner choice. If your priority is saving money and you can live without the newest-year positioning, the 2024 is the better value path.
