Used 2025 Kia Sorento for Sale nearDSL de Drummond, NB

How much does the 2025 Kia Sorento cost?

Prices have softened 14.06% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 225 listings available, which suggests you have a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Kia Sorento a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 5/5 user-rated SUV with an expert rating of 8.33/10. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Cost effectiveness.

The 2025 Kia Sorento is a “right-sized” SUV if you want an occasional-use third row without stepping up to a larger three-row midsize model. It sits between compact SUVs and bigger family haulers, and the turbo-gas version is aimed at buyers who value a powerful engine, impressive technology, and a strong warranty.

The trade-offs are clear: the interior materials feel cheap, the third row is cramped, and cargo space is limited. Even so, the Sorento’s mix of versatility and features makes it a sensible fit if you can live with those compromises.

Good and great deals account for 35.1% of listings, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Kia Sorento reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Sorento’s appeal is reinforced by its strong warranty and its reputation for being easy to live with day to day. The turbo-gas version is described as largely unchanged after a substantial refresh, which can be reassuring if you prefer a proven setup over a redesign.

Its performance side is also a plus: the turbocharged engine is described as far more satisfying than the base setup, and the SUV’s all-wheel-drive system with torque vectoring and a locking centre differential adds confidence in varied conditions. Kia also includes a three-year Kia Connect subscription plan, which adds useful connected features.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the cabin quality and packaging compromises may matter more over time than the mechanical strengths.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Kia Sorento?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The gas-only lineup includes LX, EX, X-Line, X-Line Limited, and X-Pro trim levels. The LX uses the less powerful 2.5-litre engine, while the higher trims get the turbocharged 2.5-litre. The X-Line and X-Pro also add black badges, and the X-Pro brings a more rugged look with unique wheels, all-terrain tyres, and a higher towing rating.
• Powertrain: The LX uses a 191-horsepower 2.5-litre four-cylinder with an eight-speed automatic, while the other trims use a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder with 281 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. The turbo engine is the stronger choice, but it pairs with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic that can feel unusual if you’re not used to it.
• Safety package: Highway Driving Assist is standard on X-Line, and X-Line Limited and X-Pro add Highway Driving Assist 2 with lane-changing functionality. The X-Line Limited and X-Pro also add numerous active collision avoidance features, a camera-based Blind-Spot View Monitor, and the surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: The Sorento uses a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and X-Line Limited and X-Pro add a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel for a more upscale presentation. Every 2025 Sorento has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Kia Connect adds voice recognition, 911 Connect, remote access, and safe driver settings.
• Fuel efficiency: The LX is estimated at 9.4 L/100 km in combined driving, while the turbocharged engine is rated at 10.3 L/100 km combined. In testing, the X-Pro averaged 10.0 L/100 km.

Which 2025 Kia Sorento trim should I buy?

The 2025 Kia Sorento is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, EX, X-Line, X-Line Limited, and X-Pro.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the budget-minded choice if you want the Sorento’s size and third row at the lowest entry point, but it’s also the one with the weaker 2.5-litre engine. It makes sense if price matters most and you can live without the stronger turbo power and extra equipment.
• EX: This is the sensible step up if you want the turbocharged 2.5-litre engine without jumping into the more appearance- or feature-heavy trims. It should suit you best if you want the strongest balance of value and everyday usability.
• X-Line: This trim adds the more rugged styling direction and standard Highway Driving Assist, making it a good fit if you want a more upscale look and extra driver-assist tech.
• X-Line Limited: This is the best-value pick if you want the richer tech and safety upgrades, including the larger digital instrument panel, Blind-Spot View Monitor, surround-view camera system, and Highway Driving Assist 2.
• X-Pro: Choose this if you want the most distinctive look and the most capability-focused version of the gas Sorento, including all-terrain tyres, enhanced roof rails, and the highest towing rating.

The X-Line Limited and X-Pro are the trims with the most substantial safety-package upgrades.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Kia Sorento?

The market looks moderately favourable if you’re a selective buyer.

• Deal availability: 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 225 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.06% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,502 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Kia Sorento's resale value?

The current average of $41,587 CAD sits slightly below last year's $48,391 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside for a future seller if values keep easing. If you buy at the right price now, you may reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. The Sorento’s broad appeal and strong equipment list should still help it remain attractive to shoppers looking for a versatile family SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Kia Sorento safe?

The 2025 Sorento earns five-star overall ratings from NHTSA, with four-star ratings for frontal impact and rollover resistance. It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Kia installs plenty of standard safety features in the 2025 Sorento, and higher trims add more sophisticated technology. Highway Driving Assist is a semi-autonomous, hands-on driver-assistance feature that pairs adaptive cruise control with lane-centring assist, and X-Line Limited and X-Pro add lane-changing functionality to create Highway Driving Assist 2. Those trims also add numerous active collision avoidance features, a camera-based Blind-Spot View Monitor, and the surround-view camera system.

The main caveat is that the Sorento’s IIHS Top Safety Pick rating is only valid for the 2024 calendar year, and rule changes plus a weaker result in a new test may cost it that badge in 2025.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.06% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the refreshed look, strong turbo power, and updated tech from the recent redesign.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $37,688 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $41,587 CAD average.
• It offers a value-focused family SUV with a standard third row and more room than compact crossovers.

The 2025 is the better pick if you want the latest version of the refreshed Sorento and are comfortable paying a bit more for it. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 remains the smarter value play because it delivers much of the same practical appeal for less.
