Used 2025 Kia Sorento for Sale nearChicoutimi, QC

How much does the 2025 Kia Sorento cost?

Prices have softened 13.11% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 220 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Kia Sorento a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Kia Sorento earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Cost effectiveness.

It stands out as a “right-sized” SUV if you want an occasional-use third row without moving up to a larger three-row midsize model. The turbo-gas version also brings a powerful engine, impressive technology, and a great warranty, which helps explain its appeal if you value versatility and features.

The trade-offs are clear: the interior materials feel cheap, the third row is cramped, and cargo space is limited. Even so, the Sorento’s middle-ground size and feature set make it a sensible fit if you want family flexibility without a bigger footprint.

Good and great deals account for 35.0% of listings, which is a healthy sign of market availability.

Is the 2025 Kia Sorento reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Sorento is presented as a well-rounded family SUV with a great warranty and a powertrain lineup that includes a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder in most trims. That combination points to a vehicle designed to balance everyday usability with strong feature content.

Its turbo engine and eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission are described as satisfying in normal driving, and the model’s all-wheel-drive system adds confidence in varied conditions. Kia also includes a three-year Kia Connect subscription plan, which adds ownership convenience if you use the connected features.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about living with the Sorento’s compromises in cabin quality, third-row space, and cargo room.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Kia Sorento?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The gas-only lineup includes LX, EX, X-Line, X-Line Limited, and X-Pro. The LX uses the less powerful 2.5-litre four-cylinder, while the other trims get the turbocharged 2.5-litre engine. The X-Line and X-Pro also add black badges, and the X-Pro brings a more rugged look with exclusive bumper covers, roof rails, and all-terrain tyres.
• Powertrain: The LX’s 191-horsepower 2.5-litre four-cylinder is adequate and returns an estimated 9.4 L/100 km in combined driving. The turbocharged 2.5-litre in the other trims makes 281 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, with an official combined rating of 10.3 L/100 km.
• Safety package: Highway Driving Assist is standard on X-Line, and X-Line Limited and X-Pro add Highway Driving Assist 2 with lane-changing functionality. The X-Line Limited and X-Pro also add numerous active collision avoidance features, a camera-based Blind-Spot View Monitor, and the surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: Every 2025 Sorento has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Higher trims pair the standard 12.3-inch touchscreen with a larger 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, and the 24-inch panoramic display is a major cabin highlight.
• Fuel efficiency: The LX is estimated at 9.4 L/100 km in combined driving, while the turbocharged engine is rated at 10.3 L/100 km combined. During testing, the X-Pro averaged 10.0 L/100 km.

Which 2025 Kia Sorento trim should I buy?

The 2025 Kia Sorento is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, EX, X-Line, X-Line Limited, and X-Pro.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value play if you want the Sorento’s size and third-row flexibility at the lowest entry point, but you give up the stronger turbocharged engine found in the other trims.
• EX: This is the sensible step up if you want the turbocharged 2.5-litre engine without moving into the more style- or feature-focused trims.
• X-Line: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the turbo engine plus standard Highway Driving Assist and a more rugged appearance.
• X-Line Limited: Choose this if you want the richer tech presentation, including the larger digital instrument panel, along with the added safety and convenience upgrades.
• X-Pro: This is the most distinctive choice if you want the rugged look, all-terrain tyres, enhanced towing capacity, and the most upscale-feeling cabin presentation.

The X-Line Limited and X-Pro bring the most advanced safety and driver-assistance content in the lineup, so they’re the trims to focus on if those features matter most.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Kia Sorento?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 220 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.11% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,473 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Kia Sorento's resale value?

The current average of $41,473 CAD sits slightly below last year's $47,731 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, which can make it harder for a future seller to command last year’s levels. If you buy now, you may benefit from the softer pricing, but resale upside could be more modest if the market stays at this level.

The Sorento’s broad appeal as a right-sized SUV should help keep demand steady, especially among shoppers who want an occasional third row without moving up in size. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Kia Sorento safe?

The 2025 Sorento earns five-star overall ratings from NHTSA, with four-star ratings in frontal impact and rollover resistance evaluations. It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Kia installs plenty of standard safety features in the 2025 Sorento, and higher trims add more sophisticated technology. Highway Driving Assist is standard on X-Line, and X-Line Limited and X-Pro upgrade it to Highway Driving Assist 2 with lane-changing functionality. Those trims also add numerous active collision avoidance features, a camera-based Blind-Spot View Monitor, and the surround-view camera system.

One caveat is that the Sorento’s IIHS Top Safety Pick rating is described as valid only for the 2024 calendar year, and rule changes may cost it that badge in 2025. That makes the higher-trim safety equipment worth paying attention to if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.11% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the refreshed look, strong tech, and right-sized packaging that define this generation.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $37,670 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $41,473 CAD average.
• It offers a value-focused family SUV with a standard third row and a practical middle ground in size.

The bottom line: If you want the latest pricing context and the same core turbo-gas Sorento formula, the 2025 is the cleaner choice. If your priority is saving money and you’re comfortable giving up some of the current-year market advantages, the 2024 is the smarter budget pick.
