Used 2025 Kia Sorento for Sale nearChatham, ON

How much does the 2025 Kia Sorento cost?

Prices have softened 13.62% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 220 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2025 Kia Sorento a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Kia Sorento earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Cost effectiveness.

The Sorento is positioned as a “right-sized” SUV for you if you want an occasional-use third row without stepping up to a larger three-row midsize model. It also stands out for its powerful engine and impressive technology, while still offering a useful middle ground in size.

The trade-offs are clear: the interior materials feel cheap, and the third row is cramped. Cargo space is also limited, so it suits you best if versatility matters more than maximum room.

Good and great deals account for 35.9% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Kia Sorento reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Sorento is described as a familiar, well-sorted SUV that sees no significant changes after its substantial 2024 refresh. That stability can be reassuring if you want a used example that has already settled into its current formula.

Its turbocharged setup is presented as the more satisfying choice, and the review notes that the SUV is easy to live with day to day. Kia also includes a three-year Kia Connect subscription plan, which adds some ownership convenience.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that higher-mileage examples may show the same compromises the review highlights: a cramped third row and limited cargo space.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Kia Sorento?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The gas-only lineup includes LX, EX, X-Line, X-Line Limited, and X-Pro trim levels. The LX uses the less powerful 2.5-litre four-cylinder, while the other trims get the turbocharged 2.5-litre engine. The X-Line and X-Pro also add black badges, and the X-Pro brings a more rugged appearance with all-terrain tyres and unique bumper covers.
• Powertrain: The LX has a 191-horsepower 2.5-litre four-cylinder with an eight-speed automatic and an estimated 9.4 L/100 km in combined driving. The other trims use a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder with 281 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The turbo engine is the stronger choice, but the DCT can feel unusual if you are not used to it.
• Safety package: Highway Driving Assist is standard on X-Line, and X-Line Limited and X-Pro add Highway Driving Assist 2 with lane-changing functionality. Those higher trims also add numerous active collision avoidance features, a camera-based Blind-Spot View Monitor, and the surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: The Sorento uses a 24-inch panoramic display, and X-Line Limited and X-Pro trims pair a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Every 2025 Sorento has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Kia Connect adds voice recognition, 911 Connect, remote access, and safe driver settings.
• Fuel efficiency: The LX is estimated at 9.4 L/100 km combined. The turbocharged engine is rated at 10.3 L/100 km combined, and the test vehicle averaged 10.0 L/100 km.

Which 2025 Kia Sorento trim should I buy?

The 2025 Kia Sorento is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, EX, X-Line, X-Line Limited, and X-Pro.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value play if you want the Sorento’s size and third row at the lowest entry point, but you give up the turbocharged engine that makes the rest of the lineup more satisfying.
• EX: This is the best-value trim if you want the stronger turbocharged engine without jumping into the more expensive appearance and tech-focused versions.
• X-Line: This trim adds a more rugged look and standard Highway Driving Assist, making it a smart step up if you want more equipment and a more distinctive appearance.
• X-Line Limited: This is the better choice if you want the more upscale digital cockpit, since it adds the larger 12.3-inch instrument panel alongside the 12.3-inch touchscreen.
• X-Pro: This is the most distinctive trim, with all-terrain tyres, unique bumper covers, enhanced roof rails, and the most complete safety and camera package.

The X-Line Limited and X-Pro also bring the most advanced safety and driver-assistance features, so they are the trims to focus on if those matter most to you.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Kia Sorento?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 220 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.62% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,237 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Kia Sorento's resale value?

The current average of $41,237 CAD sits slightly below last year's $47,739 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can be helpful if you are buying now but less favourable if you plan to sell soon. A softer used market can mean more competition when you eventually list your vehicle.

Even so, the Sorento’s broad appeal as a right-sized SUV should help it remain relevant with family buyers. Its mix of features, size, and available powertrains gives it a wider audience than many niche models.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Kia Sorento safe?

The 2025 Sorento earns five-star overall ratings from NHTSA, with four-star ratings in frontal impact and rollover resistance evaluations. It also earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS, though that accolade is only valid for the 2024 calendar year.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Kia installs plenty of standard safety features in the 2025 Sorento, and higher trims add more sophisticated technology. Highway Driving Assist is a semi-autonomous, hands-on system that pairs adaptive cruise control with lane-centring assist, while X-Line Limited and X-Pro add lane-changing functionality to create Highway Driving Assist 2.

The X-Line Limited and X-Pro also add numerous active collision avoidance features, a camera-based Blind-Spot View Monitor, and the surround-view camera system. One caveat is that the 2025 model may lose its IIHS Top Safety Pick rating because of rule changes and a new test result.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 keeps the refreshed look, strong turbo power, and updated tech package.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $37,451 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $41,237 CAD average.
• The 2024 brings a value-focused family SUV with a standard third row and major infotainment and safety updates.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of this right-sized SUV and can take advantage of softer pricing, the 2025 is the better all-round pick. If your priority is saving money and you still want the same practical family-friendly formula, the 2024 is the smarter budget choice.
