It stands out as a subcompact SUV that leans hard into value, space, and everyday usability, with more rear passenger room and significantly more cargo capacity than the original Trax. What is the 2025 Chevrolet Trax's resale value?

The current average of $26,095 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,445 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also suggests the model has already moved down from its earlier average. If you plan to sell later, the current market gives you a useful baseline for setting expectations. The Trax’s value-focused positioning and broad appeal should help it stay relevant with budget-minded shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Trax or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.38% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $24,090 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $26,095 CAD average.
• It brings a more modern redesign with strong style and technology.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the Trax’s affordable, utility-focused formula while adding two new exterior colour options.

The bottom line:

The 2025 Trax is the better primary pick if you want the strongest mix of value, space, and current-market pricing. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the better price-sensitive alternative, while the 2026 makes sense if you want the latest model-year availability without needing major changes.
