Is the 2025 Chevrolet Trax a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2025 Chevrolet Trax. It stands out as a subcompact SUV that leans hard into value, space, and everyday usability, while remaining compact and budget-friendly. The 2025 Trax is built around a straightforward formula: a 1.2-litre turbocharged engine, a six-speed automatic transmission, and a feature set aimed at everyday use. It also brings respectable fuel consumption for its size and a strong equipment list for the money. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that its appeal depends more on value and practicality than on standout crash-test performance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Trax?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 574 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.56% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,897 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Trax's resale value?

The current average of $25,897 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,953 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. The Trax’s value-focused positioning should still help it attract budget-minded shoppers when you eventually sell. Its mix of space, modern features, and everyday usability gives it broad appeal in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Trax or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $23,915 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $25,897 CAD average.
• It offers a more modern redesign with strong value and good handling.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the same core formula with only minor updates and two new exterior colours.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the best fit if you want the newer year with softened pricing and strong shopper appeal. If your priority is saving money first, the 2024 is the better value play, while the 2026 makes sense only if you specifically want the latest model-year badge without expecting major changes.
