This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can afford to be patient while still acting quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 203 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.01% compared with last year.

Should I buy a 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.01% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better fit if you want the current-year market with a meaningful share of attractive listings and a lower average price than a year ago. If you're especially price-sensitive, it can also be worth comparing nearby model years to see whether a lower entry point outweighs the appeal of shopping the 2024 specifically.
