This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a standout deal.

The current average of $30,061 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,632 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays steady. If you plan to sell later, buying well below the current average can help protect your position. Strong owner satisfaction can also support demand when it is time to move on.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.97% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better fit if you want a current-year used MAZDA3 Sport with solid owner satisfaction and a market that has eased a bit from last year. If you're especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of listing price and deal quality.
