• Deal availability: 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 92 listings available.

The current average of $23,532 CAD sits slightly below last year's $24,894 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can work against you if you’re planning to sell soon. If you buy at today’s average, your future resale value will depend heavily on mileage, condition, and how well the car is equipped. For a seller, the current trend points to a need for sharp pricing if you want to stand out.

Should I buy a 2022 Mazda MAZDA3 Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.47% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2022 is a sensible choice if you want a model year with softer pricing and a decent pool of listings to compare. If you’re especially price-sensitive, it’s also worth checking nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2022’s current market position.
