Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2024 Kia Soul, and it lines up with the model’s practical, value-conscious appeal. The Soul stands out for its quirky, boxy personality, useful interior room, and broad everyday usefulness, while also offering a longer wheelbase and more current technology and safety features in this generation. For Canadian shoppers who want something small, affordable, and practical with more character than the average compact hatchback, it fits the brief well. 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Kia Soul reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Soul is described as a current-generation model with Kia’s more recent technology, powertrains, and safety features, which supports confidence in its overall design. It also benefits from a practical layout and standard heated front seats and side mirrors, which can make day-to-day ownership easier in Canada. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is simply making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained properly, especially since this model year was near the end of the Soul’s run in Canada.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Kia Soul?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 97 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.09% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,920 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Kia Soul's resale value?

The current average of $22,920 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,371 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable level, but it also means future resale may be shaped by the same market pressure. If prices stay near the current average, a later seller may need to be more competitive to stand out. The Soul’s practical layout and distinctive personality should still help it attract shoppers who want something different from a typical compact hatchback. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Soul or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $21,006 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $22,920 CAD average.
• It offers strong value with practical space and a distinctive design.

The bottom line: Choose the 2024 if you want the newer model-year pricing context and a solid satisfaction signal, especially if you find a well-priced example. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2023 is the better secondary path because it undercuts the current average while still delivering the Soul’s practical, characterful appeal.
