Is the 2024 Kia Soul a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Kia Soul earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out for keeping its quirky, boxy personality while remaining genuinely practical, and it offers a useful mix of space, standard features, and easy-to-live-with efficiency. Kia also positioned it as a subcompact hatchback with an appealing, value-conscious character, so it suits you well if you want something practical without blending in. Is the 2024 Kia Soul reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Kia Soul was built on a newer chassis with Kia’s current technology, powertrains, and safety features, which supports its case as a modern used buy. The overview also notes some concerns over reliability and recalls, so you should confirm that any recall work has been completed before you buy. For used ownership, that means the biggest long-term risk is less about the concept of the car and more about making sure the specific example has been properly maintained and updated.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Kia Soul?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 92 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.16% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,297 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Kia Soul's resale value?

The current average of $23,297 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,827 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the model has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy at the current average or below, you may have less room for appreciation, but you can still benefit from a vehicle that remains practical and distinctive. The Soul’s broad appeal as a useful, value-focused small hatchback should help support steady demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Soul or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $21,288 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $23,297 CAD average.
• It offers strong value with a distinctive shape and practical packaging.

The bottom line: Choose the 2024 if you want the newer model-year pricing context and are shopping for a well-liked, practical Soul with decent deal availability. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2023 is the better value-focused path.
