CarGurus Analysis: 2024 Jeep Gladiator
overall

Summary
With 131 currently listed for sale and an average price of $53,474 CAD, 30.5% of 2024 Jeep Gladiators for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favourably reviewed: Owners rated the 2024 Jeep Gladiator 4.5 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7.33 / 10.
100.0% of 2024 Gladiator models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
There is nothing else quite like the 2024 Jeep Gladiator, a pickup truck with a roof and doors you can remove. That open-air character is one of its biggest distinctions, and it helps set the Gladiator apart from more conventional midsize trucks. It is also built to be a serious off-road machine, while some versions offer substantial payload and towing capacity.
Jeep updated the 2024 Gladiator with minor styling revisions, next-generation infotainment technology, added comfort and convenience features, and new range-topping trim levels. Those changes make it feel more modern and better equipped without losing the rugged personality that defines it. At the same time, buyers should be prepared for compromises: fuel economy is poor, the ride can be rough, the interior is loud at higher speeds, and the cabin is designed to be easy to clean rather than especially refined.

I wanted a manual transmission and my choice was between a third gen Tacoma and a Gladiator. 2024 is last year for the manual transmission for Jeep and the new Uconnect 5 is great. All in all it's was a great purchase.

I think that for the price of the vehicle, the seats should be leather. Or they should lower the price with cloth seats

| Year-Round High | $63,420 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $63,598 CAD |

Prices have softened 16.05% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 131 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.
Is the 2024 Jeep Gladiator a good car?
Yes — 4.5/5 from owners and 7.33/10 from experts point to a truck that stands out for its open-air character and serious off-road focus. The 2024 Gladiator is built for buyers who want something more distinctive than a conventional midsize pickup, and the updated infotainment and added comfort features make it feel more modern than before.
The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.
That said, the expert notes also flag trade-offs: poor fuel economy and a rough ride can make it less appealing if you want everyday refinement. It is best suited to you if you value personality, off-road ability, and utility more than quiet-road comfort.
32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2024 Jeep Gladiator reliable?
Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The Gladiator’s appeal is reinforced by its rugged design and the way it is built to handle demanding use, while the expert assessment also points to its strong off-road capability and practical utility. The 2024 updates add comfort and convenience features without changing the truck’s core character, which can help it feel more complete over time.
Its 3.6-litre V6 and available manual or automatic transmissions are familiar, proven hardware, and the truck’s straightforward, easy-to-clean cabin should suit hard use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is accepting a vehicle that prioritises capability and character over refinement and efficiency.
What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Jeep Gladiator?
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The Sport S, Willys, Mojave, and Rubicon are the core trims, while the Mojave X and Rubicon X add more equipment. Base versions miss some of the comfort and convenience upgrades found higher up the range, so you should compare feature content carefully if you want a better-equipped cabin.
- Powertrain: You get a 3.6-litre V6 with 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, plus a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic and one of four 4WD systems. The Gladiator is capable, but fuel economy is not a strength.
- Safety package: Forward-collision warning and adaptive cruise control with full stop capability are standard. The Mojave X and Rubicon X add blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and rear parking sensors, so lower trims leave some useful driver aids off the standard list.
- Infotainment: The 12.3-inch touchscreen runs Uconnect 5, and it includes wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Bluetooth for two phones, SiriusXM 360L, and over-the-air updates.
- Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada figures suggest 12.3 L/100 km in combined driving, or 13.2 L/100 km with the manual transmission. In testing, the Mojave X averaged 16.9 L/100 km.
Which 2024 Jeep Gladiator trim should I buy?
The 2024 Jeep Gladiator is offered in 6 trim levels: Sport S, Willys, Mojave, Rubicon, Mojave X, and Rubicon X.
Here's the short version:
- Sport S: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Gladiator’s removable roof and doors without stretching too far on price. It is the trim to start with if you care most about the truck’s core personality.
- Willys: This is the better-value choice if you want a more adventurous look and feel without jumping all the way to the specialised off-road trims. It should suit you if you want a more distinctive Gladiator without going overboard.
- Mojave: This is the one to choose if you want the Gladiator’s desert-running character and stronger off-road hardware. It adds the most clearly defined capability focus in the range.
- Rubicon: This is the trim to target if you want a more serious off-road setup and expect to use the Gladiator where traction and trail hardware matter most.
- Mojave X: This is the best choice if you want the Mojave’s capability plus more luxury and convenience equipment. It is the most compelling upgrade if you want a richer cabin and stronger feature content.
- Rubicon X: This is the top-end pick if you want the most fully equipped Gladiator with the Rubicon’s off-road focus and added premium touches.
The Mojave X and Rubicon X also add blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and rear parking sensors, which is worth noting if safety equipment matters to you.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Jeep Gladiator?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.
- Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 131 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 16.05% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $52,428 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2024 Jeep Gladiator's resale value?
The current average of $53,388 CAD sits slightly below last year's $63,598 CAD.
That drop suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, which can make the Gladiator easier to purchase now than it was a year ago. For a future seller, it also means you should expect pricing pressure if the market stays soft. The truck’s distinctive appeal may help support demand, but you will still need to price it competitively to move it quickly.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2024 Jeep Gladiator safe?
The Jeep Gladiator earns a three-star rollover resistance rating from NHTSA, while IIHS is unimpressed with its headlights, seatbelt warnings, and pedestrian detection and protection systems.
It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.
Forward-collision warning and adaptive cruise control with full stop capability are standard, and the Mojave X and Rubicon X add blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and rear parking sensors. Jeep also says the 2024 model has structural improvements for side-impact protection, along with front and rear side-curtain airbags embedded in the roll cage.
The main caveat is that the safety picture is still mixed, especially given the rollover rating and the lack of stronger crash-test data.
Should I buy a 2024 Jeep Gladiator or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2024 if:
- 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 16.05% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The 2024 update brings a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, Uconnect 5, and added comfort and convenience features.
Consider the 2023 if:
- At $45,574 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $53,388 CAD average.
- It offers Wrangler-like character with removable top and doors.
Consider the 2025 if:
- At $56,995 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $53,388 CAD average.
- It adds open-air appeal and off-road focus, but loses the manual transmission.
The bottom line: If you want the most up-to-date infotainment and a better-equipped cabin, the 2024 is the strongest all-round choice. If price matters most, the 2023 is the smarter value play, while the 2025 makes sense only if you specifically want the newer model-year direction.
