Used 2024 Chevrolet Colorado for Sale near Ontario

How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Colorado cost?

Prices have softened 7.06% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 210 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Chevrolet Colorado earns a 4.75/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

It stands out as a midsize pickup reshaped around recreation and lifestyle use, with easy-to-use technology, refined on-road handling, and impressive off-road handling. The trade-offs are that the cabin materials are drab and there is only one cab/bed style, so you give up some flexibility.

For shoppers who want a smaller truck that feels current and capable, it is a strong fit, especially if you value a well-equipped, upgraded experience over basic work-truck simplicity. 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Colorado is presented as a modern, well-equipped truck with a strong emphasis on capability and technology, which supports confidence in day-to-day use. Its turbocharged four-cylinder powertrains and eight-speed automatic are described as well matched, and the truck’s overall execution suggests a polished ownership experience.

The performance notes point to solid low-end power and a drivetrain that manages power well at any speed, which is a good sign for regular use. If you plan to keep one long term, the main ownership risk is that its premium positioning and rugged hardware may make repairs or upkeep feel less forgiving than on a simpler truck.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Colorado?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The WT is the base model and still brings a fully digital instrument panel, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, an 11.3-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and satellite radio, but it keeps cloth upholstery and manually adjustable front seats. The LT adds alloy wheels, a remote locking tailgate, rear air vents, a rear USB port, and a full front centre console, while the LT Convenience Package adds fog lights, the EZ-Lift and Lower tailgate, a sliding rear window, a tilt-telescope steering wheel, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The LT Convenience Package II adds remote start, wireless device charging, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and heated front seats. The LT Convenience Package III adds synthetic leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, wall-style power outlets, upgraded LED headlights and taillights, and a rear-seat fold-out centre armrest. The Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2 move further toward off-road use, with the ZR2 adding even more trail-ready chassis upgrades, remote start, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power-assisted tailgate, and a spray-on bed liner.

• Powertrain: The Colorado comes exclusively with turbocharged four-cylinder power, both displacing 2.4 litres. The base version makes 237 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, while the Turbo Max version makes 310 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. Both use an eight-speed automatic transmission. The base engine is the most efficient, while the stronger version is better suited to buyers who want more punch for towing, trails, or passing.

• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic high beams, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and the Teen Driver system. The LT Convenience Package III adds reverse automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Adaptive cruise control is available on certain trim levels, and the ZR2 is available with an underbody camera.

• Infotainment: The standard setup is an 11.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. It also includes an 11-inch fully digital instrument panel, two front USB ports, Bluetooth connectivity, and satellite radio. The layout is intuitive, and the physical volume dial and home button make it easy to use.

• Fuel efficiency: The base rear-wheel-drive WT returns 11.8 L/100 km in the city, 9.9 on the highway, and 10.9 combined. The four-wheel-drive version returns 12.7 L/100 km city, 10.8 highway, and 11.8 combined. The standard ZR2 returns 14.1 L/100 km city, 13.8 highway, and 14.0 combined, while the ZR2 Bison returns 14.8 city, 15.1 highway, and 14.9 combined. In mixed driving, the observed average was 15.5 L/100 km combined.

Which 2024 Chevrolet Colorado trim should I buy?

The 2024 Chevrolet Colorado is offered in 5 trim levels: WT, LT, Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2.

Here's the short version:

• WT: This is the entry point, but it is still well equipped with a digital instrument panel, an 11.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and satellite radio. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the lineup and can live with cloth upholstery and manually adjustable front seats.

• LT: This is the best-value trim because it adds useful everyday upgrades like alloy wheels, a remote locking tailgate, rear air vents, and a rear USB port. If you want a more comfortable and better-equipped truck without jumping too far up the price ladder, this is the one to target.

• Trail Boss: This is the first clear off-road step, with a lifted suspension, all-terrain tires, hill-descent control, and an automatically locking rear differential. It suits you if you want a more trail-focused Colorado without going all the way to the top end.

• Z71: This trim keeps many of the off-road-oriented chassis enhancements while adding unique cloth-and-synthetic-leather upholstery, heated power-adjustable side mirrors, and red front recovery hooks. It is a good fit if you want a more polished off-road truck with extra comfort and convenience.

• ZR2: This is the most serious off-road version, with even more trail-ready chassis upgrades, remote start, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power-assisted tailgate, and a spray-on bed liner. It is the right choice if off-road capability is your priority.

The LT Convenience Package III is the key safety-package upgrade to watch for, since it adds reverse automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Colorado?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 210 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.06% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $47,097 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $47,645 CAD sits slightly below last year's $51,263 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests future sellers may face a more competitive market if supply stays healthy. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to the peak. The Colorado’s strong technology and safety appeal should help it remain attractive to used buyers, especially in trims that are well equipped.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Colorado safe?

The Colorado earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover, and five-star ratings in all other NHTSA tests.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver assistance features include automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic high beams, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and the Teen Driver system. The LT Convenience Package III adds reverse automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert, while adaptive cruise control is available on certain trim levels. The ZR2 is also available with an underbody camera.

The rollover result is the main caveat to keep in mind, especially if you are comparing it with other trucks that may post stronger crash-test results.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.06% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines easy-to-use technology with refined on-road manners and strong off-road capability.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $43,486 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $47,645 CAD average.
• It is a modern crew-cab short-bed truck with strong capability and broad standard tech.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $52,676 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $47,645 CAD average.
• It adds broad appeal with a powerful standard engine and more off-road-focused option packages.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of current design, technology, and market pricing, the 2024 is the primary target. If your budget is tighter, the 2023 is the smarter value play, while the 2025 makes sense if you want to pay more for the newer model-year positioning.
