The current average of $23,444 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,315 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more gradual if the market stays competitive. The Impreza’s standard all-wheel drive and practical reputation should help keep it relevant with used shoppers, especially in regions where traction matters. If you buy well now, you may be better positioned to limit depreciation later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Subaru Impreza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.39% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $27,006 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $23,444 CAD average.
• It adds a revived RS trim for more driver excitement.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the stronger value play and are happy with the Impreza’s practical, all-wheel-drive formula. Consider the 2024 if you want to pay more for a newer take with extra appeal; price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2023 and look for a listing near the lower end of the range.
