Is the 2023 Lincoln Nautilus a good car?

The 2023 Lincoln Nautilus stands out as a two-row luxury SUV that leans more heavily into comfort, style, and a premium feel than many mainstream rivals. It has a distinctive look, and the cabin benefits from a digital 12.3-inch instrument panel and a well-executed interior overall. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a used midsize luxury SUV that feels more upscale than its Ford-based roots might suggest.

It is also notable for its balance of smooth road manners and useful equipment. Standard all-wheel drive, an eight-speed automatic transmission, Lincoln Co-Pilot360, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a power tailgate all add to its everyday usefulness. The 2023 model also received redesigned wheels, giving the final year of this generation a fresh touch.

If you value refinement and ease of use more than sporty dynamics, the Nautilus makes a compelling case. 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Lincoln Nautilus reliable?

The 2023 Lincoln Nautilus is presented as a comfortable, polished SUV with familiar, proven mechanicals and a well-executed cabin. Its appeal is less about being the newest thing on the road and more about how it presents itself: an upscale exterior and a premium interior give it a distinctive luxury-focused character.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that you should expect a model that prioritises comfort and style over fresh engineering, so careful inspection and maintenance history matter.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Lincoln Nautilus?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 162 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.23% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $39,168 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Lincoln Nautilus's resale value?

The current average of $39,186 CAD sits slightly below last year's $44,647 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable level today, but it also means future resale upside may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition, mileage, and service history will matter even more. A well-kept example should hold its appeal better than one that shows wear, especially because shoppers in this segment tend to compare value closely.

Should I buy a 2023 Lincoln Nautilus or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.23% compared with last year.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $32,841 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $39,186 CAD average.
• It offers a more established, comfort-focused luxury feel.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $52,199 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $39,186 CAD average.
• It adds a more modern cabin with a full-width display and hands-free driving tech.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around choice if you want the newer look and features without stepping into the higher-priced 2024. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value play, especially if you are comfortable with its older design.
