Used 2023 Lexus RX for Sale nearRichmond Hill, ON

How much does the 2023 Lexus RX cost?

Prices have softened 11.33% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 232 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Lexus RX a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Lexus RX earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

The redesigned RX takes a cautious approach, but it still feels meaningfully improved thanks to its upscale cabin and strong technology. That makes it a good fit if you want a polished luxury crossover that stays true to the RX formula rather than chasing flashier rivals.

The main trade-offs are worth weighing: the standard suspension can feel unsettled on imperfect pavement, cargo space is limited, and the head-up display integration is not especially good. Even so, the RX’s comfort-first character and premium materials should suit you well if refinement matters more than outright driver engagement.

With 32.3% of listings priced as good or great deals, there is a decent amount of market value to be found.

Is the 2023 Lexus RX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The RX’s appeal is built around reliability, refinement, safety, and style, and the 2023 model continues that formula with a modernised cabin and updated technology. The expert evaluation also points to Lexus’s familiar emphasis on comfort and quality, which supports the RX’s reputation as a dependable luxury crossover.

Its turbocharged 2.4-litre engine is described as a good choice, and it performs better at higher altitude while returning slightly better fuel economy than the outgoing V6. Lexus Interface and the broader package of features also suggest a well-developed ownership experience.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic dependability and more about living with the RX’s comfort-oriented compromises over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Lexus RX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The RX 350 is offered with a modern cabin, digital instrumentation, and a 9.8-inch or 14-inch touchscreen display, while higher versions add features such as a head-up display and more upscale materials. Base versions still leave you with the RX’s core luxury feel, but you should check whether the equipment you want is included before you buy.
• Powertrain: The RX 350 uses a turbocharged 2.4-litre inline four-cylinder engine with 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It is described as a good choice overall, with slightly better fuel economy than the outgoing V6, though it is not as smooth and refined in sound.
• Safety package: Every 2023 RX gets Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which includes lane departure warning, automatic high beams, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, motorcycle detection, evasive steering assistance, intersection turn assistance with front cross-traffic alert, and curve speed reduction with adaptive cruise control. Some HUD-equipped models have unmarked adaptive cruise controls, so you should confirm how the system is presented in the vehicle you’re considering.
• Infotainment: Lexus Interface brings wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, satellite radio, connected services, user profiles, and natural voice recognition. The system uses a 9.8-inch or 14-inch touchscreen, and while it is a strong step forward, it does not let you view multiple data panels at the same time.
• Fuel efficiency: The RX 350 AWD is estimated at 9.9 L/100 km in combined driving, and testing returned 10.5 L/100 km and 10.8 L/100 km.

Which 2023 Lexus RX trim should I buy?

The 2023 Lexus RX is offered in 6 trim levels: RX 350, F Sport 1, Luxury, F Sport 2, Executive, and F Sport 3.

Here's the short version:

• RX 350: This is the starting point for the RX 350 lineup, and it gives you the core luxury crossover experience with the new cabin, Lexus Interface, and the standard safety suite. It makes sense if you want the RX’s main strengths without stretching for extras.
• F Sport 1: This trim adds a sportier flavour to the RX 350 formula, so it suits you if you want a more expressive version of the same basic package.
• Luxury: This is the trim to focus on if you want the most comfort-oriented version of the RX 350, with the upscale feel that matches the model’s strongest traits.
• F Sport 2: This is the better-value choice if you want more of the sporty presentation and equipment without going all the way to the top of the range.
• Executive: This trim is the best fit if you want a more premium, well-equipped RX 350 and are willing to pay for the added polish.
• F Sport 3: This is the most performance-focused RX 350 trim, with adaptive damping suspension and upgraded brakes, so it suits you if you want the most controlled driving feel in the lineup.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard across the range, so you do not need to move up a trim to get the core driver-assistance package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Lexus RX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 232 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.33% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $49,576 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Lexus RX's resale value?

The current average of $49,729 CAD sits slightly below last year's $56,083 CAD.

That price movement suggests the RX has become more accessible for used buyers, which can make it easier for future sellers to attract interest if they price competitively. The current market also shows that shoppers are still willing to pay for the RX’s comfort, refinement, and luxury image.

For you as a seller, that means condition, mileage, and equipment will matter a lot when you set your asking price. A well-kept RX with desirable features should still hold appeal, but the softer market means you may need to be realistic on price.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Lexus RX safe?

The 2023 RX earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2023 RX also gets Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 (LSS+ 3.0), a robust collection of advanced driving assistance systems. It includes lane departure warning, automatic high beams, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, motorcycle detection, evasive steering assistance, intersection turn assistance with front cross-traffic alert, and a curve speed-reduction function with adaptive cruise control.

It also adds Proactive Driving Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, and Advanced Park Assist. Those features broaden the RX’s safety and convenience toolkit, though some functions can be awkward in practice, especially when HUD-related controls are involved.

One caveat is that the curve-speed reduction technology is not predictive, so it can feel less polished than you might expect. If you want the RX’s safety tech to work smoothly, you should pay close attention to how the HUD and driver-monitoring features behave during a test drive.

Should I buy a 2023 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.33% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesigned RX brings a more modern cabin and stronger technology while staying true to the model’s comfort-first formula.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $43,730 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $49,729 CAD average.
• It is a carryover model with minimal changes and a comfort-focused character.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $54,438 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $49,729 CAD average.
• It leans harder into comfort and fuel efficiency, with a quieter cabin.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of modern features, strong safety tech, and a softer used-market price, the 2023 is the smart default. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the value play; if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling comfort-first RX, the 2024 is the alternative to compare.
