Is the 2022 RAM 3500 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 RAM 3500 earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to very strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, towing capability, spacious interior, and comfort, and many also like the RAM Box feature and the truck’s overall value for money. If you want a heavy-duty truck that can work hard while still feeling comfortable and well equipped for daily use, this model year fits that brief well. With 30.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 RAM 3500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that many people feel good about living with over time, especially because of its strong performance, comfort, and practical features. The same feedback also suggests some mixed feelings around transmission reliability, so you should pay close attention to service records and how the truck drives during a test drive. For used buyers, that means the long-term ownership picture looks promising, but a careful inspection is still important before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 RAM 3500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 269 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.50% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $61,901 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $63,258 CAD sits slightly below last year's $68,385 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may mean less upside if you plan to resell soon. Even so, the truck’s strong owner satisfaction and reputation for capability should help support demand over time. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintain it well, you are more likely to protect value than a similar truck with a weaker ownership reputation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.50% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 is a strong choice if you want a heavy-duty truck with excellent owner satisfaction, a softer price trend, and enough inventory to shop around. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2022 stands out as the better all-around pick when you want capability, comfort, and a healthy used-market selection.
