Is the 2022 RAM 3500 a good car?

Yes — the 4.86/5 user rating points to very strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, comfort, towing capability, spacious interior, and the RAM Box feature. That makes it especially appealing if you want a heavy-duty truck that can handle demanding jobs while still feeling more upscale and usable day to day. With 31.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 RAM 3500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.86/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also highlights dependable-feeling performance, strong value for money, and a truck that many buyers feel confident living with over time. Some reviewers do mention mixed views on the transmission, so a careful used-buying inspection still matters. For long-term ownership, that means you should pay close attention to service history and how the truck drives before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 RAM 3500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 250 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.14% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $61,884 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $63,697 CAD sits slightly below last year's $69,344 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can be a challenge if you plan to sell in the near term. On the other hand, a lower entry price can help you buy more truck for the money today. If demand stays steady, a well-kept example with the right equipment should still hold appeal among heavy-duty truck shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.14% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should focus on the 2022 if you want a heavy-duty truck with strong owner approval, softer pricing, and enough inventory to compare options carefully. If you're especially price-sensitive, you may want to keep an eye on nearby model years as well, but the 2022 is a sensible target when you find a clean listing at the lower end of the range.
