Is the 2025 RAM 3500 a good car?

The 2025 RAM 3500 stands out as a heavy-duty truck that has moved well beyond its roots as a bare-bones workhorse. Its latest generation puts a strong emphasis on luxury and technology, while also adding a more aerodynamic design, LED lighting, a stronger frame, new suspension, and a new transmission for the Hemi models.

Inside, it feels far more like a modern daily driver than an old-school commercial tool, with available features such as a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, a 12-inch vertical infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 750-watt Harman Kardon 17-speaker audio system. For buyers who need real truck strength, its towing of more than 15,875 kilograms and payload of almost 3,600 kilograms make it especially compelling.

The market also looks reasonably supportive, with 37.7% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 RAM 3500 reliable?

The 2025 RAM 3500 is presented as a heavy-duty truck that combines serious capability with a more modern, comfort-focused design. Its stronger frame, new suspension, and updated transmission for Hemi models point to a truck engineered for demanding use.

At the same time, its size and diesel noise are part of the ownership experience, so long-term use can still feel demanding if you regularly drive in tight urban areas or want a quieter truck.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 RAM 3500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some confidence if you know what you want and are ready to move on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 358 listings available.

If you find a listing below $84,205 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $84,205 CAD sits slightly below last year's $100,811 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled compared with a year ago, which can make the truck more attractive to you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may be more sensitive to condition, mileage, and equipment than it would be in a stronger pricing environment.

Should I buy a 2025 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.47% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory, and the 2025 model's updated heavy-duty appeal, the 2025 is the primary path to consider. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby model year may be worth a look, especially if you can find a well-equipped truck with the features you want at a lower asking price.
