That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the truck more attractive to buyers now but may also mean a softer starting point if you plan to sell later. If you buy at the right price and keep the truck in strong condition, you can help protect your future resale position. The current spread between the low and high end also shows there is room for value differences depending on mileage, condition, and equipment.

Should I buy a 2019 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.22% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 is a strong choice if you want heavy-duty capability with a more upscale feel and you can find a well-priced example. If you are especially price-sensitive, it is worth comparing nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2019’s stronger market position and owner satisfaction.
