How much does the 2022 RAM 3500 cost?

Prices have softened 7.56% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

Is the 2022 RAM 3500 a good car?

Yes — the 4.86/5 user rating points to very strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the truck’s powerful performance, towing capability, spacious interior, and comfort, and they also value the RAM Box feature and overall feature content. That makes it a strong fit if you want a heavy-duty truck that can handle demanding work while still feeling comfortable and well equipped for everyday use. With 32.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 RAM 3500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.86/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also highlights dependable performance, with many reviewers describing the truck as powerful and capable over time. At the same time, some owners have raised concerns about the transmission, so you should pay close attention to service records and how the truck shifts during a test drive. For used buyers, that means the long-term ownership risk is manageable, but only if you verify maintenance history carefully.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 RAM 3500?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 266 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.56% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $61,888 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $63,611 CAD sits slightly below last year's $68,813 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can help you buy more confidently today but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the softer trend means you should expect resale values to depend more heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment. Well-kept trucks with desirable features should still hold attention, especially in a segment where capability matters.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a heavy-duty truck with strong owner approval, solid feature content, and a market that currently gives you some negotiating room, the 2022 is the one to focus on. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a similar truck offers a lower entry price, but the 2022 remains a compelling choice when comfort, capability, and owner satisfaction all matter.
