Is the 2021 RAM 2500 a good car?

Yes — the 4.69/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its performance, safety features, and value for money, and many also like the impressive power and fuel efficiency, especially with the diesel engine. That fits well if you want a heavy-duty pickup that still feels more upscale and family-friendly than many work trucks. With 28.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you may also find some worthwhile options if you shop carefully.

Is the 2021 RAM 2500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.69/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a truck that feels dependable in daily use, with praise for its performance and the diesel engine’s efficiency. That kind of repeat confidence matters in a heavy-duty pickup, where buyers often want something they can count on for towing, hauling, and long-term ownership. For used buyers, the main risk is making sure the truck has been maintained properly, especially if it has seen hard work.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 RAM 2500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 242 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.79% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $50,340 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 RAM 2500's resale value?

The current average of $50,439 CAD sits slightly below last year's $55,915 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the truck easier to buy now but may also limit short-term upside for a future seller. If you purchase at the current average, you may have less room for appreciation unless demand strengthens. Still, the model’s strong owner satisfaction can help support buyer interest when it’s time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.69/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.79% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.69/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $42,462 CAD, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $50,439 CAD average.
• It offers top-grade luxury and capability in a heavy-duty package.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2021 if you want the newer model-year pricing context and strong owner satisfaction, especially if you value the truck’s blend of capability and refinement. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2020 is the better secondary path because it delivers similar heavy-duty appeal at a lower average price.
