This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to compare options without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 249 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.24% compared with last year.

What is the 2021 RAM 2500's resale value?

The current average of $50,184 CAD sits slightly below last year's $55,912 CAD.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable point. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the truck has been maintained. Because the model still attracts buyers looking for capability and comfort, demand should remain solid if your truck is clean and well equipped.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.69/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.24% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.69/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $42,958 CAD, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $50,184 CAD average.
• It offers a more luxurious and innovative heavy-duty feel.

The bottom line: Choose the 2021 if you want the stronger value trend and a well-liked ownership experience. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2020 is the better price-sensitive alternative, especially if you find one in good condition.
