Is the 2022 RAM 2500 a good car?

Yes — 4.81/5 is a strong user rating for this model year. Owners consistently praise its power, comfortable ride, and excellent interior features, and many also value its towing capability and overall reliability. That lines up well if you want a heavy-duty truck that can handle serious work while still feeling comfortable and well equipped for everyday use. With 31.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 RAM 2500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.81/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to reliability, dependability, and a truck that many people feel confident using for work or leisure. That kind of praise suggests the 2022 RAM 2500 can be a solid long-term ownership choice if you want a heavy-duty pickup you can count on.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is paying too much for a truck that may have been worked hard, so condition and maintenance history matter.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 RAM 2500?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 319 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.91% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $56,253 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 RAM 2500's resale value?

The current average of $57,405 CAD sits slightly below last year's $63,717 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the truck more attractive to buyers now but may limit upside for a future seller if values keep easing. If you buy at the right price, you may have a better chance of preserving value than someone who pays near the top of the range. Strong demand for capable heavy-duty trucks can still support resale, especially when the truck has the features and condition shoppers want.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.81/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.91% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.81/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $67,980 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $57,405 CAD average.
• It adds a Rebel trim aimed at stronger off-road capability.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the better starting point if you want strong value, broad inventory, and proven owner satisfaction. If you care most about the newer-year pricing and the added off-road-focused Rebel option, the 2023 is worth a look, but price-sensitive buyers will likely find the 2022 easier to justify.
