Is the 2021 Kia Sorento a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Kia Sorento earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spacious interior, and value for money. The review feedback also highlights its safety features and advanced technology, which fit well if you want a family-friendly midsize SUV with a more modern feel. That lines up with its role as a practical three-row SUV for shoppers who want space without moving up to something larger.

With 34.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2021 Kia Sorento reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary points to a vehicle that owners find dependable, with comfort and value showing up repeatedly in their feedback. For used buyers, that kind of owner confidence can reduce long-term ownership risk, especially if the vehicle has been maintained properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Kia Sorento?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 311 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.39% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $24,415 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Kia Sorento's resale value?

The current average of $24,428 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,535 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can be helpful if you're buying now but less favourable if you're planning to sell soon. If you own one for a few years, the current softer pricing may limit upside in the near term unless demand strengthens. Still, a well-kept Sorento with the right equipment should remain appealing to family buyers looking for space and value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.39% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $28,154 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $24,428 CAD average.
• It adds hybrid options for buyers who want better efficiency.

The bottom line: Choose the 2021 if you want the better value and are focused on space, comfort, and a lower purchase price. Consider the 2022 if you want the newer powertrain choices and are willing to pay more for them.
