Is the 2021 Ford Edge a good car?

That kind of feedback usually matters most if you want a used SUV that feels broadly well liked by the people who live with it every day. With 29.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a meaningful share of the market worth considering.

Is the 2021 Ford Edge reliable?

For used buyers, that suggests the Edge has a favourable ownership reputation, though you should still check service records and confirm the specific vehicle has been maintained properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Ford Edge?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 437 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.29% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,441 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Ford Edge's resale value?

The current average of $23,018 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,547 CAD.

That softer pricing can be good news if you’re buying now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays under pressure. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should focus on buying well and keeping the vehicle in strong condition. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Ford Edge or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.29% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $19,581 CAD, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $23,018 CAD average.
• It offers a practical, well-equipped package with easy-to-use tech and strong everyday usability.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2021 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2020 is the better value-focused path, especially if you’re comfortable giving up some of the newer-year pricing context.
