Should I buy a 2020 Volvo XC60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.47% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $30,666 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $29,034 CAD average.
• It adds a more polished all-round feel with stronger everyday appeal.

The bottom line: The 2020 is the better pick if you want the lower average price and a market that currently favours shoppers. If you can stretch for the 2021, it is the better secondary path for buyers who want to spend more for a newer-feeling alternative.
