Yes — owners rate it 4.7/5, which is a strong sign that it delivers on the basics for shoppers like you. Reviews consistently point to its fantastic performance, fun driving experience, low maintenance costs, and the convenience of charging at home. The technology also stands out, with Autopilot helping give the car a distinctly modern feel, and the overview frames it as a strong fit if you want an efficient, easy-to-live-with electric car with brisk performance. Is the 2020 Tesla Model 3 reliable?

The review summary also points to low maintenance costs and a trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, which supports the idea that this is a car you can count on over time. Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Tesla Model 3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 329 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.33% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,412 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Tesla Model 3's resale value?

The current average of $24,136 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,044 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you buy now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited unless the market tightens again. For a seller, the current trend suggests you should expect a more competitive pricing environment rather than a strong appreciation story. The good news is that the model’s strong owner satisfaction and broad appeal can still help support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Tesla Model 3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.33% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of value, owner satisfaction, and a modern EV experience, the 2020 is the primary year to focus on. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2020’s stronger market position and broad appeal.
