Why it stands out
The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E stands out because Ford used the Mustang name on its first mass-market electric vehicle, and it is also the first electric vehicle to wear the Mustang name. It is the first production Mustang model with more than two doors, which makes it a notable departure from the badge’s usual formula. Ford also positioned it as its first electric car based on a dedicated platform and aimed at a mass audience, giving it a more ambitious role than the company’s earlier electric efforts.
That ambition is tied to the Mach-E’s blend of style and performance. Ford wanted sportiness and emotion to help sell more EVs, and that approach puts the Mach-E in direct competition with the similarly-sized Tesla Model Y. Buyers had to choose between rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, Standard Range and Extended Range battery packs, and four trim levels: Select, Premium, California Route 1, and GT Performance Edition. The test vehicle was a sold-out First Edition model, identical to the Premium trim aside from cosmetic details such as red brake calipers, and it featured the Extended Range battery pack and all-wheel drive.
Owner feedback reinforces the Mach-E’s appeal, with praise for its stylish design, impressive performance, advanced technology, comfortable interior, and user-friendly features. Some owners did raise concerns about charging options and software issues, which suggests that while the Mach-E is attractive and well-rounded, it is not without a few practical frustrations.

I bought a Mustang Mach-E premium with all-wheel drive and love it. It’s spectacular to drive; very responsive and of course quiet. The stationary sunroof offsets the medium size cabin and the other amenities make it a pleasure for drivers and The oversized touch screen is wonderful. At less than most Tesla’s the Mach E is a good value.

Absolutely Love This Car! Not our first EV or our first Ford but it’s definitely our favorite of both. Love the aggressive look of the Mach-E compared to other EV’s. Many people I’ve bumped into don’t expect it to be electric. So far it has been incredibly efficient averaging 4-4.9 mi/kWh on the Premium X RWD. The seats are super comfortable and the interior build quality is nice. We are using it as a whole family car and plenty of space for all of us and our 3 kids. Activated the Ford WiFi on day 1 and it handles data of all kids iPads during cruising. My car already has the PAAK update and PAAK works flawlessly. It’s been super hot lately pushing 110-120 degrees and the AC handles the cabin perfectly, the IR reflective coating on the glass roof allows no heat through it keeping the cabin comfortable. Definitely recommend the Mach-E to anyone.

Great value especially with a 91KW battery. With the California 1, nothing is missing.
