Is the 2019 Tesla Model 3 a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Tesla Model 3 earns a 4.83/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its impressive technology, performance, and comfort, and many also highlight its efficiency and smooth driving experience. That makes it especially appealing if you want a compact, mainstream sedan with a more advanced electric-car feel and lower running costs than a conventional fuel-powered car. Is the 2019 Tesla Model 3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.83/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a car that many owners find dependable in day-to-day use, with praise centred on its efficiency, smooth driving experience, and overall satisfaction over time. The same reviews also suggest that the car’s long-term appeal comes from how well it delivers on its electric-car promise for many drivers. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is that Tesla’s build quality has had issues, so a careful inspection matters.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Tesla Model 3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 195 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.78% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,326 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Tesla Model 3's resale value?

The current average of $21,867 CAD sits slightly below last year's $24,508 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you own one, the current pricing trend means resale value is being shaped more by condition, mileage, and listing quality than by broad market momentum. A well-kept example can still stand out, but you should expect buyers to be price-conscious.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.83/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Tesla Model 3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.83/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the 2019 Tesla Model 3’s blend of technology, performance, and efficiency, it is a strong used-car choice, especially given the softer pricing and decent deal availability. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on the best-conditioned example rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
