The standard all-wheel drive and default V6 on most trims give it a more confident, well-rounded character, while the broad spread of trims helps you match equipment to your needs. The 2020 Sorento’s steady improvement in safety and equipment helps reinforce its reputation as a sensible used SUV, especially if you value a practical layout and available family-hauling flexibility. Its strong crash-test results and standard rear parking sensors add to the sense that it was built with everyday ownership in mind. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.02% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2020 Sorento is a strong choice if you want a practical midsize SUV with standard all-wheel drive, available three-row versatility, and a well-rounded used-market value proposition. If your priority is finding the best price, you may also want to compare nearby years, but the 2020 is the better fit when you want a balanced mix of space, capability, and market softness.
