Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Kia Sorento?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 331 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.24% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $13,832 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Kia Sorento's resale value?

The current average of $13,865 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,554 CAD.

That softer pricing means future sellers may face more competition if the market stays well supplied. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to the higher end of the recent range. Strong demand from family buyers can help support resale, but the market will still reward well-kept examples with desirable equipment and clean history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.24% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Sorento is a strong choice if you want a well-rounded midsize SUV with good value, a comfortable cabin, and enough inventory to shop around. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years to see whether a similar Sorento offers a better deal or a newer feature set for only a small price difference.
