Yes — the 2020 Kia Sorento earns a 5/5 user rating, and its practical midsize-SUV layout makes it a strong fit if you want available three-row versatility in a family-friendly package. The standard all-wheel drive and default V6 on most trims give it a more confident, well-rounded character, while the broad spread of trims helps you match equipment to your needs. The 2020 Sorento’s steady improvement in safety and equipment helps reinforce its reputation as a sensible used SUV, especially if you value a practical layout and available family-hauling flexibility. Its strong crash-test results and standard rear parking sensors add to the sense that it was built with everyday ownership in mind. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is choosing a poorly maintained example, so service history and condition matter.

• Inventory: There are 381 listings available.

The current average of $17,916 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,590 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned when it comes time to resell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.02% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2020 Sorento is a strong choice if you want a practical midsize SUV with standard all-wheel drive, available three-row versatility, and a well-rounded used-market value proposition. If your priority is finding the best price, you may also want to compare nearby years, but the 2020 is the better fit when you want a balanced mix of space, capability, and market softness.
