Is the 2020 Kia Sorento a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Kia Sorento earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a practical midsize SUV with available three-row versatility, standard all-wheel drive, and a broad spread of trims, so you can match it to family duty or everyday use. Is the 2020 Kia Sorento reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2020 Sorento’s reliability appeal comes from its steady evolution into a more family-friendly SUV, along with standard all-wheel drive and a well-established feature set. Its strong safety results and available convenience and driver-assistance equipment add to the sense that it was built to serve as a dependable daily vehicle. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is choosing the wrong engine or trim for your needs, since the base four-cylinder was described as too weak and the V6 uses more fuel.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Kia Sorento?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 390 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.33% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $17,688 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Kia Sorento's resale value?

The current average of $17,688 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,396 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Sorento easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned to protect value over time. Demand should remain supported by its practical layout and family-friendly appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.33% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2020 Sorento is the better pick if you want a used midsize SUV with standard all-wheel drive, available three-row versatility, and strong safety credentials. If your priority is stretching your budget, a nearby model year may offer a lower entry price, but the 2020 is the more balanced choice if you want a well-rounded family SUV with broad appeal.
