Is the 2020 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Honda Odyssey earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its spaciousness, comfort, and user-friendly features, and many also like the more luxurious feel and updated technology. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a family minivan built around everyday practicality, comfort, and versatility. With 29.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, with praise for the vehicle’s long-term usefulness, comfort, and family-friendly design. That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance records and a thorough test drive, since any older minivan can carry ownership risk over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what to look for.

• Deal availability: 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 152 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.91% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $28,157 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $29,382 CAD sits slightly below last year's $33,354 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can be helpful if you are buying now but less favourable if you plan to sell soon. If you own one, the softer pricing means you may need to be realistic about your asking price to stay competitive. Even so, the Odyssey’s strong reputation with owners helps support demand in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.91% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $37,318 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $29,382 CAD average.
• It adds upgraded safety, technology, and a fresher overall presentation.

The bottom line: The 2020 is the better value if you want a well-liked family minivan at a lower used price. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer model’s added polish and features, the 2021 is the stronger upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2020 remains the smarter starting point.
