What is the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500's resale value?

The current average of $33,397 CAD sits slightly below last year's $38,616 CAD.

That price movement suggests the truck has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilises. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside left than a shopper who paid closer to the peak. Strong demand from truck buyers can also help support resale, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.52% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $35,487 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $33,397 CAD average.
• It adds stronger brand loyalty and big rebates.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2020 if you want a better-value used Silverado with strong owner satisfaction and a softer price point. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2020 is the smarter starting point; if you want to compare against a newer year, the 2021 may appeal if its higher asking price is justified by the specific listing.
